Southern California Wizard

It all started when I moved to a townhouse in Tustin, California last year. Like many houses in an urban setting, land is a premium and most townhouses don't provide the resident with any private space to have any type of retreat, save the obligatory patio. My situation is like many homes in the area, small concrete patio providing no shade or comfort. I decided, after sitting on the hot concrete one day, to start providing my own. I would make my own private retreat. Something I could come home to, kick back, drink a brew and generally enjoy the time spent in this small area.
