My Aunt and her son have some property in Harwich, MA. I'm designing a house for them and we hope to have it built by the end of next year. My cousin and I (with our respective main squeeze) went to the Cape late last year and made a cursory examination of the property. I wanted to see and walk the land so that I could get a good idea what I thought would work there. After spending some time there I decided I wanted to take advantage of the view of the pond and also the property. It has quite a severe slope and to the side she has two large homes blocking a direct view of the pond. So... go around them! Rather than trying to compete with her neighbors and build up, I decided to use the slope and build down the slope. Check out the photos I took when we were there.

After my aunt and her son came up with their wish list of items that they would like in a home (program) I came up with a design that we all agreed on. It is a multi-storied home taking advantage of the site and not over powering. Check out the design.
